Construction of the Hospice House began in 2015 and operations began in late 2016.
This eight bed facility allows Hospice Of Laramie to increase the number of individuals and their families served served in the community. Short-term inpatient hospice care is provided when an individuals condition or disease progression must be closely monitored, and/or in order to manage pain that that cannot safely be managed at home and respite services are provided for an individual who is at home but whose caregiver is in need of relief from duties for a short amount of time.
The facility was designed to resemble a home rather than a medical facility. The patient suites feature a family room and kitchen so families can cook meals and stay together as a family as well as beds available for family members to stay with their loved ones.
